Ohhhh goodness! My mother-in-law gave us a cookbook a little while ago, and I was very hesitant. I get all of my recipes from Allrecipes.com, make sure they have great ratings by a TON of people before I will make them. Gotta make sure they are delicious right?! Right. Anywho one of my goals for this year is to make at least one more "new to us" recipe a week. Don't get me wrong, we make our dinners fresh every night, but usually do some type of salad and meat thing, or one of our faves. And bless my hubby's heart, he makes me dinner when I work late:-) Keeper!
So I go into this book a skeptic. BUT have changed my mind. Yummy! Yesterday I made Roasted Littleneck Clams Puttanesca Style, and today I made Asian Mushroom Lettuce Wraps. YUM!
What makes this even more exciting for me is that we did ALL of our shopping this week organic. You'd think it'd cost a lot more, and who has the $$ these days to do so? BUT I can tell you it didn't, we shopped smart and spent the same as we normally do. Trader Joe'sROCKS! And our new butcher is amazing. I guess it's a sign I'm getting old because I get excited about dumb stuff like this, but oh well I think it's pretty freakign cool:-).
So . . . that's my lil blurb for the day. Now off to the gym to work off the weight I'll gain eating it all!
Tomorrow: my mission to "girl-ify" my good friend Bekah. Taking her shopping!!! We have alist of must have's, etc. My friends all say I should have a show like "What Not to Wear" . . . ha ha will keep you posted!
Good Night!
P.S. This is my good friend Curly:-)

All right . . . I'm patting myself on the back, 2 days in a row blogging, a huge accomplishment for me:-)
I can't tell you how excited I am for the New Year! My wonderful hubby and I took down our decorations yesterday. Usually I'm sad and rushed while unwrapping ALL the 8 strands of lights and tearing everything down, who wants the holidays to end? Not I! BUT something is different about this year 2010. I feel more motivated to get going and get things done than ever, and can't wait to see what great things unfold for us this year!
Speaking about getting things done, I've been relentlessley working on Excel spreadsheets for my business taxes. the 1st year I have to do this, and MAN it takes forever. But I'm getting it done asap to make room for more fun things!
09. Photographs ft. Will.I.Am - Rihanna - Is what I'm rocking out to:-) While drinking my yum coffee. To the right is a new Paris Wall Hook, Big Ben Picture Frame, my coffee:-), my Jodi Picoult book I JUST finished last night "Perfect Match" (intense!), and lovely map coaster that my friend gave my hubby and I for Christmas!
Anywho a few new frames I will post on Etsy Monday:
Have a FABULOUS day!!!

Woo Hoo! My very first post on my "grown up" "business" blog!!! Very exciting:-). So after leaving my other "forgotten" personal blog behind, I am fully motivated to start fresh with the inspiration from the movie "Julie and Julia". Although instead of culinary challenges, my journey will be crafts, fun, love, life . . . pretty much a jumble of randomness . . . but that's what makes up me!
So to start here on New Year's Day . . . Day #1 . . .
I just want to introduce my lil crafting site, my dream and inspiration: Memory Bean Designs!!! Sooo what a weird name, some kind of bean? Hee hee let me quickly explain. My good ole friend Bethany (love you!) introduced me to scrapbooking over 10 years ago during our college days. We would have a blast crafting away, with the help of some yummy coffee drinks. Nope not just plain-Jane coffee, the yummy flavored lattes, espresso shakes, the good stuff:-).
So anywho . . . as time went on we always dreamed of opening up a scrapbook store, and thought it should include a coffee shop so other can enjoy the yummy coffee as they create and shop. So I wanted to call it "The Memory Bean". Life got busy. She moved across state and got married and had gorgeous babies:-). I went to college and met the love of my life and got married . . . and although we are not able to open our store . . . I want to carry the inspiration into my craft business as Memory Bean Designs!
So you can find me at www.memorybeandesigns.etsy.com
So that's it for my first post, HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all and I wish you all an inspiring new year. Get out and actually do thos things you have always wantedto, but have been putting off:-)
